5 Weeks of Habit Building: Final Week

At the beginning of this month I started five weeks of habit building. I am spending these five weeks to try to build a foundation of good habits. To read more about my process, read my first post: Five Weeks of Habit Building.
The habits that I am building:
Read 30 minutes every day
Workout 5x a week
Take 3 tangible steps towards personal/career development each week
Final Thoughts
I wrapped up the project with another good week. This week I started and finished an investing book called Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits by Philip A. Fisher. For anyone looking to develop their investing philosophy, I would highly recommend reading this book.
This has been a really enjoyable five week project. I built some habits, have started to see some results, and am looking forward to continuing them into the future. My next steps will be focused on cementing these habits. After a few more weeks, I will probably try to start stacking another habit or two on top of these ones.
My goal is not to fill my days with needless tasks or to consume all of my free time, but rather, I want to continue working towards spending my time intentionally. I am convinced that a focused, habitual day will make the free time more meaningful.
Knowing that I am taking step after step to meet my goals brings peace. I want to live a life that celebrates a full-day's work and cherishes a lazy afternoon.
Life is not for working to exhaustion. Life is not for sleeping all day. Life is not meant to discourage.
Life is for being present. Life is for striving after big, sometimes scary goals. Life is meant to encourage.
Thank you for allowing me to write about this project for the last few weeks. I am grateful to have this audience to keep me accountable. Next week I will be returning to more typical content. At the end of July, I have an interview that I am super excited to share with you.
I hope you and your families are staying safe in this trying time. Even in my still young life, I have been amazed by the resiliency of humans. We will get through this season, and I am confident that the other side will be even brighter and more beautiful than before.
